Drive-In Theatres of the Mid-Atlantic is a great site that is "dedicated to the remembrance of the 200+ outdoor cinemas that have dotted the landscape of Maryland, Virginia and eastern West Virginia in the past 60 years, and recognition of the ones that continue to brighten the night sky even today." So if you remember the Potomac, the Super 51, the High Rock, even the Crystal and the Super 40, you'll find them and more. VOLUNTEER TEAM MAINTAINS, ENTERTAINS AT ROCKY GAP, DAN'S MTN., GREEN RIDGE
The Volunteer Team was initiated in 1992 in response to budgetary cuts throughout the State Forest and Park Service. A core group of dedicated individuals began to volunteer personal time to maintain resources and preserve programs at the three local sites. Since then, hundreds of volunteers, individuals, and groups, have participated in the program, logging in excess of 150,000 hours. Visit their site here.
